![]() ![]() Darcy, his careless comments and assumptions about her brings about her prejudice against his pride. She is strong and loyal and does not bow to others’ thoughts or opinions. Even though the book was written in the 1800’s, Elizabeth Bennet is the epitome of a modern-day heroine. ![]() Not only is the book wildly enchanting, but it also an interesting study of (the main character) Elizabeth’s relationships with her family, friends, and those she encounters throughout the novel. ![]() Considering all of the retellings, adaptations, and sequels that have been created since the book was published in 1813, I am not alone in cherishing one of Jane Austen’s greatest novel. I have re-read the book and watched various BBC mini-series and films since I was a child, each time judging the actors as deserving of bringing the spirited Elizabeth and romantic Mr. To start, I am a bonafide Pride and Prejudice freak. ![]()
